They will then fly out of Australia tomorrow for New Zealand where they will get their World Cup preparations underway with some practice matches.
The players, who were smartly dressed in matching grey suits, were seen off at Harare International Airport by their families and the director of Sport in the Ministry of Sport, Arts and Culture, Tendai Tagara.
Acting Sports Commission chairman Edward Siwela was also at the airport to wish the boys all the best in their tough adventure.
“The guys have worked hard and are as well prepared as they can be. They would also want to raise the country’s flag,” said Chiketa.
“We’re looking forward to a good tournament. I’m sure the guys will do their best. Everything that could be done, with the time we had, was done and they’re well prepared.”
