The Zambian government has paid former national team coach Dario Bonetti after FIFA threatened to impose sanctions on the national team.
A similar situation of non-payment has seen FIFA ban Zimbabwe from the 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign, and seeking to avoid the same fate for Chipolopolo, the Zambian government has paid the money it owed to Donetti for his stint in charge.
Zambia owed the Frenchman $432,000 for his time at the helm from July 2010 to October 2011.
Bonetti was fired from his job with nine months to go on his contract, despite having led the side to qualification for the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations.

"The Football Association of Zambia decided to terminate Bonetti's contract without prior consultation with the Ministry of Youth and Sport," Zambia's sports minister Vincent Mwale told parliament.
"According to FAZ, the coach was handpicked and was not screened for international experience and African experience.
"The FAZ president had said that the players had complained about Bonetti's poor football knowledge and lack of respect for players.
"In order for the country not to suffer FIFA sanctions, which could entail the country not being able to participate in international tournaments, the ministry requested for intervention from the treasury for special funding to quickly settle the issue."
