The course fixed for 2-8 August 2015 seeks to equip the young referees with the necessary knowledge and skills needed for the effective control of games at a higher level and give them guidance on latest trends in modern refereeing.
The Young Talent category is the third tier of the CAF Refereeing Structure, and is constituted by referees and assistant referees below 30 years. Elite A is the topmost level followed by the Elite B category.
Opening the seven day course, Dante Dramane, member of the CAF Referees’ Committee tasked the participants to work hard towards improving the level of officiating on the continent.
Jason Damoo (Seychelles) and Diatta Badara (Senegal) are the Technical Instructors and Rene Tshibangu (DR Congo) and Mostapha Amghar (Morocco), the Physical Instructors.
Thirty (30) referees and assistant referees including six females are taking part in the course.
