Polish premier league club, Wisła Kraków will offer Sierra Leonean attacking midfielder cum striker, Mustapha ‘Haji’ Bangura another opportunity to sign a contract with the club pending trails.

The Polish club recently turned down the opportunity to sign the former Old Edwardians forward after he completed a week's trials with them during their training camp in Turkey on the pretext that the player’s physical ability was lacking.

However, the club’s technical team was impressed with Bangura’s technical ability which has convinced them to offer the player the chance to prove his physical fitness again to them.

According to the club’s website, the 25-year-old forward arrived at John Paul II Balice International Airport in Poland on Wednesday morning to undergo training with them with an option to sign a deal.

" Bangura during his testing in Turkey has convinced us with his football skills, doubts arose with his health, because the player has been injured in the past in a car accident, but a decision was agreed that he will undergo further rehabilitation in Myślenice. This was agreed after talks with the player, his staff and a medical training team" the club’s President Robert Gaszyński said.

"We firmly believe that with additional exercise and a  rehabilitation specialists the player will reach his full efficiency. Also a decision to sign a contract with the player will depend on the results of the rehabilitation, “Gaszyński added.

In 2008, Bangura joined AC Omonoia, before switching the following year to Limassol and helped them win the Cypriot Cup for the 2009-10 seasons scoring the opening goal of the finals. In his 72 league appearances, he scored 24 goals. The midfielder in 2012 signed a two-year deal with another Cyprus premier league side, AEK Larnaca.

He was involved in a car accident driving in Sierra Leone’s second city of Bo from Freetown to watch a local football league match in 2011. The accident almost ended his career after breaking two bones in his left arm and one in his lower left leg. Last year he played for  the Cyprus second division club Nikos & Sokratis Erimis.
