Sierra Leone care-taker coach, Sellas Tetteh is eyeing a place in the 2017 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon after seeing his side force the African champions, Ivory Coast to a 0-0 draw last Sunday in Port Harcourt.
The Ghanaian tactician expressed his happiness after securing a point on his debut as Coach for the West African nation.
Despite sharing points with Ivory Coast, the Ghanaian acknowledged the efforts of his side by avoiding defeat against such an accomplished opponent is a big step toward their chances of making it to Gabon 2017.
“We did not win but I am happy because we played well. Also when you get a point after playing against such an accomplished side, you should be proud,” Tetteh said adding that: “Now, we must build on this and try as much as possible to qualify for the 2017 AFCON.”
