The qualifiers were expected to be staged in Bamako, Mali but the Confederations of Africa Volleyball (CAVB) has announced the change of venue to Conakry and had been schedule for March.
Sierra Leone will have to face the new host nations Guinea, Guinea Bissau and Mali in Pool Three of the qualifiers with both the winner and runner-up to book an automatic spot to the next round of the qualifiers.
He said: “The tournament would now play in Conakry, Guinea so we will be there with full support and a huge delegation.”
Meanwhile, 12 players – which include six male and six female – were earlier invited by the technical team for a training session at the Volleyball court at Lumley Beach as they continue intensive preparations for the tournament.
This will be Sierra Leone’s second test in Olympic Beach Volleyball qualifiers and Coach Sorie believes both the male and female teams will make it to Rio in 2016.
