21 March 2015 – The U23 Men’s National Team arrived in Khartoum, the Sudanese capital on Saturday morning to a very warm welcome from a buoyant crowd ahead of their first leg qualifier of the 2015 All Africa Games against Sudan on Sunday.
Head coach Owen Da Gama and his assistant Thabo Senong travelled with 23 players for this qualifier brimming with confidence.
“We are here in Sudan and ready for the game. We did all our training at home and despite the long trip here, we are fully prepared.
South Africa U23s will have a Saturday training session ahead of tomorrow’s first leg clash and Da Gama said the team was fully prepared.

“Our training session on Saturday is just to polish up our tactics ahead of tomorrow’s match. We have some great talent in this squad and have an idea of how the Sudanese play. We will go into tomorrow’s match ready to compete and very hopeful that our tactics will work on the day,” said Da Gama.
