South Africa will be looking to finish the u23 African Nations Cup tournament among the top three which will earn them a spot at the 2016 Rio Olympics Games in Brazil.
“We are happy with the week we have had, our main focus was building the mental toughness of the players. We have taken advantage of the heat wave; by training in these hot conditions and playing on average pitches throughout the week because those are some of the factors we will come across in Senegal. Playing in the humidity and heat of West Africa has never been an easy task but this week has helped us to be mentally prepared,” said Head coach Owen Da Gama.
The squad will then check out of national camp and return again for camp on 22 November 2015 to polish up their final preparations before heading to the Senegalese capital of Dakar.
