The New England Patriots drew first blood by scoring in the first quarter but the Seahawks will respond right back as they leveled the score to tie the game at 7 apiece.
The Patriots will come back again and put one in the end zone as Rob Gronkowski hauled one in for a 14 – 7 lead against the Seahawks but Seattle’s Chris Mathews a total unknown wide receiver will come through big as he grabbed one at the end Zone with an over the back pass from Russell Wilson to even the score at 14 apiece before the half.
Both teams left the pitch at halftime tied 14 – 14 but upon return Seattle instantly put a score on the board as they took a 3 point lead.
What followed afterwards with the Seahawks at the one yard line of the red zone will be described as the most baffling play of all time (Some have described it as the dumbest play of all time). They had about 55 seconds to play with and three downs to go and instead of handing the ball to the best running back in the game in Marshawn Lynch they decided to let Russell Wilson the quarterback throw the ball in a crowded lane and sure enough the ball got intercepted and that pretty much sealed the deal for the New England Patriots giving them their fourth Superbowl win in Franchise history.
