Lausanne, 18 April 2015--The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has heard the appeals of the Football Association of Albania and the Football Association of Serbia against the decision issued by UEFA Appeals Body in which both associations were disciplined further to incidents which occurred during the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying match held between their national teams in Belgrade on 14 October 2014.
The appeal of the Football Association of Serbia was held on Thursday, 16 April 2015, and yesterday the appeal of the Football Association of Albania was heard at the headquarters of the CAS in Lausanne, Switzerland. The parties, their legal counsel, experts and witnesses were headed by the Panel of CAS arbitrators in charge of each procedure.
The appeal of the Football Association of Serbia was held on Thursday, 16 April 2015, and yesterday the appeal of the Football Association of Albania was heard at the headquarters of the CAS in Lausanne, Switzerland. The parties, their legal counsel, experts and witnesses were headed by the Panel of CAS arbitrators in charge of each procedure.
The CAS arbitrators are now in the deliberation process and will later start drafting the respective final award which is expected to be issued before the next qualifying match for the EURO 2016 (group I) on 13 June 2015. The CAS will not comment any further at this time.
