The decision to lift the sanction came after the association membership deliberated on the issue amongst others in a well-attended general meeting at the Sierra Leone Association of Journalist (SLAJ) Secretariat, Campbell Street in Freetown.
The membership agreed to lift the ban despite the refusal of the SLFA to tender an apology to SWASAL for their refusal to include three sports journalists on the official list of the Leone Stars, delegation that travelled to Cameroon for the 2015 AFCON qualifiers that led to their deportation.
The lifting of the ban came five months back after the decision was taken against the country’s football governing body.
In related development SWASAL will go to the polls on 23rd May 2015 in Bo Town to elect a new Executive that will run the association for next two years.
