Stoke City will begin their eighth consecutive Premier League campaign in the way they ended their seventh by welcoming Liverpool to the Britannia Stadium on the opening day of the 2015/16 calendar.
The Potters recorded their best ever Premier League score line on the final day of last season when a brace from Mame Diouf and goals from Jonathan Walters, Charlie Adam, Steven Nzonzi and Peter Crouch secured a 6-1 triumph.
Brendan Rodgers’ side will travel to the Potteries as the new season kicks-off on Saturday 8th August 2015.

It is not the first time City have faced Liverpool on the opening day of the season. The two sides competed at Anfield in the first ever televised clash to be broadcast on BT Sport in Mark Hughes’ first campaign in charge of City, 2013/14.
The Potters’ first away game of the season comes with a trip to White Hart Lane on Saturday 15th August to face Tottenham Hotspur, who City of course recorded their first ever league double against last term.
City will end the 2015/16 campaign on home soil against West Ham United scheduled for Sunday 15th May.
