The Sports council urged FIFA to urgently send delegates to Freetown to come and verify and discuss the ongoing situation in the country.
The letter which was signed by the Director of Sports, Saidu Mansaray stated that their correspondence to FIFA came after FIFA stated in their January 8th 2015 correspondence in which they stated that they did not recognize the Alhaji Unisa Alim Awoko Sesay interim executive.
The Director of Sports further state that the decision by the SLFA members were in conformity with the provision of the SLFA and the FIFA constitution and that the information given to FIFA by the former SLFA General Secretary that the members are not legitimate is misleading.
“We want FIFA to review its decisions with regards to the recognition of the SLFA interim executive by FIFA and to also stop corresponding with Madam Isha Johansen and Christopher Kamara,” the letter reads.
Meanwhile the FIFA office is yet to confirm receipt of the letter.
