Secretary General of Sierra Leone Volleyball Association (SLVA), Ahmed Khanou has been appointed as the technical head for the 11th All Africa Games men’s beach volleyball tournament.
The appointment for beach volleyball is an equivalent of tournament director to football and Khanou will serve in this capacity in Congo, Brazzaville from 5th to 17th September this year.
Reacting to his appointment following congratulation messages, Khanou said it was an honour for him to receive such appointment.
“For me this has been an honour and a huge success particularly to the volleyball family in the sports management landscape in Sierra Leone. But bottom line it has been a story made and told by all of us with our inputs, selflessness, resilience, belief in ourselves and a burning desire to achieve greatness not only for our individual aspirations but for our sport, our country and for humanity, “Khanou said.
He further assured that the SLVA Secretariat and its leadership in particular they have come to make Sierra Leone proud and assure of the association pledge to do great things.
