The membership of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has expressed their dismay with the World’s Football Governing body, FIFA and have revealed that they will soon be forced to make an official complaint to the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
In an exclusive interview with African Sports TV, the chairman of the newly formed SLFA group, Alhaji Unisa Alim ‘Awoko’ Sesay said they will not hesitate to drag FIFA to CAS for ‘bringing the game to disrepute.’
Sesay said: “As members of SLFA, we no longer recognize Isha Johansen Executive and we are not expecting FIFA or any other international bodies to deal with her nor any member of her dissolved executive.”
“They no longer have any mandate to represent us under the name of SLFA and as members we are going to frown at any move by FIFA to have any dealings with the Johansen’s dissolved executive and we will not hesitate to drag the SLFA and FIFA to CAS.”

This latest backlash from Awoko and his membership came just days after the FIFA media department confirmed that they (FIFA) are monitoring the current situation within the SLFA and are in regular contact with the SLFA.
On May 6 the SLFA members publicized their decision to again dissolve the Johansen’s led Executive Committee after the April congress in Makeni which ended abruptly.
