
The meeting was chaired by the Secretary to the President, Osho Coker and it attracted representatives from the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone (NOC-SL), the Sports Ministry and members of the football family.
After hours of deliberation, it was agreed by all parties present that the SLFA congress will be held in Makeni from April 17th -19th and that all SLFA delegates from the four regions will participate.
In Wednesday’s press statement issued by the SLFA head of media, Abu Bakar Kamara, the Football Association stated that the said meeting at state house was not an endorsement backed up by the executive committee.
The release reads: “Contrary to the content of the NOC press release, the SLFA executive committee was not in full attendance therefore, any discussions or deliberations in that meeting was not an endorsement backed by the entire SLFA executive committee.”
