The SLAA scribe was reacting to the Presidential accolades showered on the Association during the State Opening of the Third Session of the Fourth Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone on Friday December 5th in which their association was amongst three hailed by the president.
Sowa said: “It is welcome news for us and its shows that the President and other people in the government recognized our outstanding performance and creativity.”
“We need our athletes to attend more games by so doing they can get more chances to compete against the big names out there and get the exposure and more importantly win medals for the country,” Sowa said.
The scribe further promised continued progress in their activities as he also pleaded for support I asked that people help the athletes especially the young ones to be able to attend various training camps if not in Europe but other African countries which he said can help them improve their performance and be at par with others out there.
