Sierra Leonean-born youngster, Nathaniel Chalobah has joined Reading on loan for the rest of the season from premier league side Chelsea.
The English premier league club announced that the midfielder has joined the championship club after the world’s governing body; FIFA three-club rule prevented him from joining French club side; Bordeaux.
The 20-year-old was expected to complete a short-term move to Bordeaux but the FIFA’s three-club rule prohibits players from turning out for more than two top-flight teams in the same season.
The Sierra Leonean-born youngster will be hoping to see more playing time at the Madejski Stadium following his disappointing loan spell with Burnley where he played just 69 minutes of Premier League football before returning to Stamford Bridge at the start of January.
Chalobah has been impressive on loan spells with Championship clubs in the past - at Watford, Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough.
He made his England Under-21 debut on 13 November 2012, replacing Jordan Henderson in the 76th minute. He is also eligible to play for Sierra Leone.
