Bangura’s goal in AIK 3-1 win over Helsingborg was his third of the season and his second successive goal from two matches.
Swedish striker, Nabil Bahoui open the scoring for AIK in the 37 minutes before Ramic Simovic leveled thing up before half time but the home side regain their lead through Bahoui in the 67 minutes and ten minutes later the Sierra Leonean striker sealed the win for the home side which sent the home supporters into jubilation with the ‘Bang Bang Bangura’ song.
In the Swedish first division, midfielder Ibrahim Kallay despite not being on the score sheet played an important role in helping his IFK Lulea side secure a 4-1 win over Huddinge.
Another Sierra Leonean, Ishmael Koroma was in action in the first division league as his Nyköping team were held to a goalless draw against Akropolis.
In the MLS, the goals just keep coming for striker Kei Kamara. His snap-header from a Waylon Francis cross gave Columbus Crew a 2-1 lead against Orlando City but the home side grabbed a point from the match thanks to Pedro Ribeiro 89th minute striker.
However, Kamara’s goal was his 10th goal of the year and the forward was pleased with Francis’ pass which he said: “It was a great cross; I just want to be dangerous and keep doing that. I got lucky again to be on that side of the goal. It’s a good goal.”
The former Norwich and Middlesbrough goal saw him continue to lead the MLS scoring chart and also makes him the fastest Crew player to reach double-digit goals in a season and is one short of his career high that came in 2012, when he played in 33 games for Sporting Kansas City.
