Sierra Leone international striker, Kei Kamara continues his exceptional form in front of the goal this season as he fired Columbus Crew to the U.S Major League Soccer (MLS) Eastern Conference final.

The former Norwich and Middlesbrough forward scored twice, missed a penalty for the Crew but defeated Didier Drogba’s Montreal Impact 3-1 at Mapfre Stadium.

Kamara’s Columbus Crew who dumped the Impact on a 4- 3 aggregate win will now meet the New York Red Bulls in a two-legged Eastern Conference final.

Reacting after the win while describing his feelings after scoring the all-important goal, the striker told mlssoccer.com: “It went in and I was running to the side to celebrate with the fans and I didn’t see any of my teammates around me, so I thought something went wrong – I thought the ref called something,” said Kamara, with a laugh. “[Then] I felt people just jumping on me. It was a relief. You can’t have it any other way. That’s just how the game is supposed to go, right there. It was a packed house. I enjoyed every minute of that.”

Away from the MLS, left-back Sheriff Suma played full time as his Revan FC defeated Neftçi 2-3 away from home whilst in Cyprus, striker Mustapha Haji Bangura saw 53 minutes of action as his Aris side also secured an away win, defeating Ethnikos Achna 1-2.

In England, center-back Alie Sesay was the only Sierra Leonean in action as he guided Cambridge United to a 1-0 F.A Cup first round win over Basingstoke Town.

Former AC Mila midfielder, Rodney Strasser continues to enjoy full-time action with Lupa Castelli Romani but he could not rescue them from a 2-0 defeat in the hands of liga Pro C.

Defender, Gibril Sankoh Roda JC side dropped two point on Friday as they were forced to a 1-1 draw by Ado Den Haag. The Sierra Leonean defender played full time in the stalemate.

In the Swedish Superettan play-off, striker Ibrahim Teteh Bangura who played for 61 minutes could not rescue his Mjällby AIF squad escape relegation to division One after they were forced by Örgryte to a 1-1 draw at home.

Another Sierra Leonean who was unable to see full time action was Balikesirspor midielder Alfred Sankoh as his side secured a 0-1 away win over Kayseri Erciyesspor with Sankoh having 79 minutes spell on the pitch.
