Kamara who was the only Sierra Leonean player on target over the weekend helped Norrköping beat Ängelholm to move to the top of Group seven with six points from two matches.
The former FC Kallon striker gave the Swedish premier league side Norrkoping an early lead just in the 3rd minute of play before picking up a yellow-card in the 62 minutes.
However, Kamara’s teammate and striking partner Niklas Bärkroth sealed the win for the home side in the 84th minute.
The other Sierra Leoneans who were in action in the Swedish Cup were, striking duo, Mohamed ‘Poborsky’ Bangura and Alhassan ‘Crespo’ Kamara. The latter played fulltime and his Örebro side secured a 0-1 away win over Dalkurd, whilst the former replaced Heenok Goitom in the 70th minute in AIK 0-3 win against Kristianstad.
Elsewhere, in the Azerbaijan topflight league, midfielder Gibrilla Julius Woobay had 80 minutes of action before he was replaced by Rauf Aliyev as his side Neftçi FC bounced back from last weekend’s defeat to secure a 0-1 away win over Sumqayıt.
Another midfielder in action was Alfred Zagalo Sankoh whose Khazar Lankaran defeated FK Baki 2-1 with Sankoh playing full time.
In the Portugal second tier league, Ibrahim Obreh Kargbo saw full time action for Atlético CP in their 1-1 draw with Sporting Braga II and in the Africa Champions League, defender David Simbo helped his side, the Sudanese title holders, Al Hilal Omdurman eliminate Zanzibar’s KMKM 2-1 on aggregate.
Despite losing the first leg 1-0 away, Simbo’s Al Hilal Omdurman was able to reach the next stage of competition with a 2-0 home win.
Meanwhile, in Italy midfielder Rodney Strasser was left out of Livorno squad again which suffered 1-0 away loss to bottom side Crotone.
In England’s League One and the German second tier league, full back Mustapha Dumbuya and midfielder George Kweku Davies were both left out of their squads over the weekend respectively.
