The West African nation is now ranked in 86th position in the World, but maintained its 24th position on the continental stage.
According to the statistics released by FIFA, despite the fact that Sierra Leone did not play a single match since they last did against DR Congo during the 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers, they secured a total of 382 points eight points more than their January ranking.
Despite the increase in points the country still moved down a place following progress made by other Nations like Equatorial Guinea who moved by 370 points to rank 49th in the World.
The Ivorians moved up eight places to 20th but still find themselves behind the Algerians who still remain as Africa's best-placed team in 18th position. Nations Cup runners-up Ghana moved up 12 places to 25th.
Elsewhere, world champions, Germany maintained their number one ranking ahead of Argentina, Colombia, Belgium and the Netherlands.
