Preparations for the match against Namibia went smoothly with Banyana Banyana holding their training sessions at the Nike Training Centre in Soweto.
This will be the second match between Banyana Banyana and the Brave Warriors in a short space of time. They played to a 2-1 score in favour of the Sasol sponsored women’s football team in Namibia early last month, and Vera Pauw will be looking to use the match on Sunday to fine tune areas that need to be worked on before the African Women’s Championship.
“The aim of each friendly match we play is to make sure that we continue with our preparations for the big tournament. The plan is to move to a play which is more flexible without giving anything away,” concluded Pauw.
Sasol Banyana Banyana will continue with preparations and playing more friendly matches before travelling to Namibia.
