The AWC will also be used as qualifiers for the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where the top three teams qualify to compete at the world stage in Canada next year.
Banyana Banyana went into camp on 31 July. The team will meet at the Milpark Garden Court in Auckland Park. Their training sessions will be held at the Nike Centre in Soweto and the Bedfordview FC grounds respectively.
The draw for the African Women’s Championship was conducted on 19th July in Windhoek. Sasol Banyana Banyana were drawn in group B together with Algeria, Cameroon and Ghana.
The Sasol sponsored women’s national team is scheduled to play another international friendly match against the AWC hosts Namibia in Durban on the 10th of August. Full details regarding the match will be communicated soon.

Sasol Banyana Banyana will continue playing friendly matches in August ahead of the Championship before Vera Pauw announces her final squad to travel to Namibia.
The Sasol Banyana Banyana mentor has called up two new players for this camp, goalkeeper Ntshetsana Mputle, who plays for Titans Ladies in the North West Sasol League and young striker Thembi Kgatlane from the University of Pretoria High Performance Centre.
