The match is scheduled to kick-off at 15h00.
Van Wyk, who plays her club football for her own academy, the Janine Van Wyk girl’s football club (JVW FC) which competes in the Gauteng division of the Sasol Women’s League, is the second highest capped player in the Sasol sponsored Women’s National Team, behind veteren striker Portia Modise, who will register 110 caps if selected on Sunday.
“It absolutley is a phenominal feeling, I really am astonished that I have reached this milestone in my career. I have always dreamt of playing for the national team and here I am reaching 100 caps,” said Van Wyk.
Nicknamed ‘Booth’, Van Wyk made her debut for Banyana Banyana in the African Women’s Championship tournament match against Nigeria in 2005. It hasn’t been an easy journey for the strong defender.

Her most memorable moment in the green and gold strip was when Sasol Banyana recorded their first-ever win over Nigeria since the women’s national team was formed in 1993. Van Wyk scored the only goal of that match, with Banyana Banyana knocking Nigeria out of the 2012 African Women’s Championships.
“Janine has played a vital role in the team set-up, she carries great leadership qualities as the captain. On behalf of Sasol, we congratulate her on reaching this milestone,” said Dumisani Mbokane, Sasol Sponsorship Specialist.
