The largest grassroots football development tournament in the country has reached the exciting knockout stages after some nail biting matches in the round robin stages.
Free State were the first to book a place in the last four with a 3-1 penalty victory over USSA Football. Western Cape also needed the lottery of penalty shoot outs after they came back from two goals down to force a 2-2 draw. Western Cape eventually claimed a 7-6 win in the shoot-out.
KwaZulu-Natal beat tournament favourites, Northern Cape 1-0 to become the third team in the last four while a rampant North West comfortably beat Gauteng 5-2 to conclude the semi-finals of the 2014 SAB League Championships.
The action continues on Friday, 18 July at the Montshiwa Stadium where the two teams to face each other in the Finals will decided.
