Northern Cape were first to secure a place in the knockout stage after narrowly beating USSA in a thrilling opening encounter of the second day 1 - 0.
Mpumalanga also finished the day at the summit of their group after a convincing 4 – 1 victory over Eastern Cape.
The tournament will go into recess tomorrow when some former soccer greats will take an opportunity to facilitate a skills training workshop for at least 250 young players from across the country who are participating in the SAB League National Championships. These players include Collen Tlemo and Silver Shabalala who played for AmaZulu, Jomo Cosmos and Black Leopards.
