Chairman of the Eastern Region Football Association (ERFA) Morrison Sannoh and his Western Area Football Association (WAFA) colleague, Abdul Kanasieu have both endorsed the interim body of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).
A total of 40 football stakeholders in an extra-ordinary congress hosted on December 20th in Freetown resolved to dissolve the Isha Johansen led executive for several constitutional violation.
With the National Sports Council of Sierra Leone having endorsed the interim executive headed by Alhaji Unisa Alim Awoko Sesay, both the ERFA and WAFA have followed suit.
According to Morrison Sannoh, they no longer recognize Johansen’s executive adding that they are now working with the Awoko executive and will extend an invitation to them ahead of their forthcoming regional congress.

“We as a region are fully behind the decision of stakeholders and are in support of the interim body that is why they are the ones we will extend our invitation to for our congress,” Sannoh said.
The WAFA boss, Kanasieu said as a region they are totally in support of the majority stakeholders decision that is why they only recognize the Awoko led interim executive.
