The journey has been set for the clubs that have qualified for the FIFA Club World Cup Morocco 2014.

The quarter-final line-up for the Club World Cup was determined as the winner of the CAF Champions League final pitting AS Vita Club (Congo DR) against ES Setif (ALG) will face the winner of Matchday 1 between Moghreb Athletic de Tetouan of the host nation Morocco and Auckland City FC of New Zealand. The winner will then play San Lorenzo (ARG), who booked their semi-final spot for winning the Copa Libertadores.

The other quarter-final will see CONCACAF Champions League winners Cruz Azul (MEX) play the winner of the AFC Champions League final between Western Sydney Wanderers (AUS) and Al Hilal (KSA). The winner will then play UEFA Champions League holders Real Madrid (ESP) in the semi-finals.

Moroccan Minister for Youth Affairs and Sport Mohamed Ouzzine officially opened the ceremony where he expressed Morocco's delight at hosting the tournament for a second consecutive time. FIFA Executive Committee member Hany Abo Rida followed with words of gratitude and appreciation for a successful Morocco 2013 and expressed his confidence in another successful tournament. Fouazi Lekjaa, the Chairman of the Morocco 2014 LOC and the Royal Moroccan Football Association (FRMF) then welcomed the delegations and congratulated the work done by the Organising Committee.

The evening’s schedule also included performances by a number of artists and the showing of two videos, one officially presenting this year’s tournament and the other revealing the history of the FIFA Club World Cup, which is being staged for the 11th time this year.

The draw was conducted by Mustapha Fahmy and Oliver Vogt of FIFA, who drew the teams from one bowl and their position in the draw from another.

Further information on the host country and tournament venues can be found at the official tournament website, along with the match schedule and profiles of the clubs taking part: www.FIFA.com/clubworldcup.
