The Level 1 Coaches Course participants in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso
Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, July 7, 2015 - A Level 1 Coaches Course sponsored by Olympic Solidarity took place in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, from June 18-29. It was supervised by FIVB Instructors Mr Blaise Mayam Re-Niof from Cameroon and Mr Sewa Dometo Edem Agbodjan-Prince from Togo.
The course participants included coaches active in schools and through the African Dream project, a development initiative under the tutelage of FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F°.
The Volleyball Federation of Burkina Faso is actively promoting the sport in the country's 45 provinces and participation in the first and second division volleyball championships in Ouagadougou is developing and attracting growing audiences.

The course participants were particularly interested by the modules which will help them to structure training sessions with the young volleyball players they are responsible for. The course is designed to help coaches strengthen their technical knowledge. It also provides them with information on how best to train their players on tactical elements of the sport and improve their physical conditioning routines. The federation in Burkina Faso hopes to continue building on its training initiatives by organising African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) and FIVB courses on a regular basis.
