Felix Ochieng's charges exited the competition at the plate semifinal stage, having earlier been eliminated from the cup competition at the quarter final stage. They are now 12th on the series log with 21 points and are in Pool B alongside England, Argentina and Canada for the USA Sevens in Las Vegas this weekend.
This is a recap of their day two showing.
Plate Semi Final: Kenya 5 Australia 21
Felix Ochieng's charges showed early promise before spilling an easy ball that fell to Greg Jeloudev who raced 70 yards to touch down with James Stannard converting for a 7-0 lead.
Stannard would then give Australia a pivotal early score after the restart, scoring and converting for a 14-5 lead. He would then turn in a cover tackle to deny Kenya before converting Sam Myer's try to make the game safe.
Cup Quarter Final: Kenya 5 South Africa 19
Michael Wanjala would exploit space, ripping the Blitzbokke defence to score the opener but with half time beckoning, Werner Kok sniffed a chance on the blindside and nipped into the corner to touch down. The follow up conversion saw South Africa take a slender 7-5 lead into the break.
