Sierra Leone football legend, Mohamed Kallon’s move to the Indian Premier League has been hindered after the India Embassy in Ghana denied the former Inter-Milan and AS Monaco forward entry visa due to Ebola verification.
The former Leone Stars Captain was expected to join FC Pune City ahead of the opening fixtures in the India Premier League but the delay in securing an Ebola certificate to show he is free from the virus saw the deal squashed.
According to the former Monaco striker’s legal representative, Emmanuel Saffa Abdulia, the veteran striker was stuck in Accra, Ghana awaiting the Ebola verification and the delay in getting the certificate from the Ministry of Health and Sanitation had the Indian club pull-out of the deal.
