The Cape Cobras booked their spot in the Ram Slam T20 Challenge final and next year’s Champions League after after beating the Knights by eight runs during the triple header in Bloemfontein to ensure they finish top of the table with a game to spare.
The Highveld Lions blew their chances of challenging for the top spot after losing to the Dolphins by five wickets.
The Lions and Knights will fight it out for the remaining Champions League spot and a place in the final in the Semi Final next weekend. Home Ground advantage will be finalised this week when the Lions and Knights face off in the last group match on Wednesday. The Lions are four points ahead of the Knights.
The Dolphins stuttered somewhat in their chase of a moderate 122 to win, but in the end they ran out comfortable victors with five balls to spare.

Dolphins batsman David Miller did enough with 42 unbeaten from 37 balls and a 54 run stand with Khaya Zondo (28) for the third wicket , to steer his side home for just their third win of their campaign as defending champions in the competition.
