According to UK based online media, the Mirror, Man United’s Ashley Young and Hull City captain Curtis Davies have been showing off tricks and flicks on video to raise money for thousands of starving West African children.
The players then nominated other football pals to do the same and donate to the charity Street Child of Sierra Leone which is fighting the crisis in Sierra Leone and Liberia.
The England under 21 player Chaloba, born in Sierra Leone, said the campaign was “close to my heart” and also nominated Africans Michael Essien, Kei Kamara and ex-England star Gareth Southgate.
Street Child founder Tom Dannatt said: “Football is a massive passion in Sierra Leone so what better way to raise more funds. I’d just urge everyone to get involved.”
Experts fear the number of orphans could top 20,000 by next year.
