Cairo, Egypt, February 13, 2015 – African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) President Dr Amr Elwani opened the Development Commission meeting in Cairo, Egypt on Friday with a welcome speech urging all the commission members to meet the expectations and new challenges facing Africa.
Elwani said that Africa had made a great leap forward due to the great development work carried out across the continent.
“We need to have good co-operation between the National Federations which will be the only way to progress,” he said. “We also have to present new ideas and creative opinions from every member.”
The commission president, Nasiwa Sadik said in his speech that the CAVB now have to implement all the projects presented to the commission after the majority of the previous projects were launched successfully.
“Now we have to monitor our previous projects and then evaluate the results to enjoy their full success,” said Sadik.
The meeting was attended by CAVB President Dr Amr Elwani, Development Commission President Nasiwa Sadik (Uganda), Commission members Ahmed Khanou (Sierra Leone), Charles Uyisenga (Rwanda), Salaheddin Babiker (Sudan), Fredreck Ndlovo (Zimbabwe), Paul Atchoe (Ghana), Sanga Kone (Ivory Coast), Baibamne Kianhykbo (Chad), Development Center Directors Mbaye Deme (Senegal), Kamal Rakaya (Tunisia), Omar Elhaj (Sudan) and CAVB Executive Director Howyda Mondy.
