Cairo, Egypt, November 30, 2014 – The African Volleyball Confederation have announced the dates and organizers of the second edition of the CAVB Continental Cup due to start on December 4, when Mozambique and Namibia host the first pool stages of the Sub Zonal phase.
In the competition phase 1 (Sub-Zonal), the Continental countries will be divided into 12 pools covering all the continental 7 Zones, where Zones 1 and 7 will have one pool, and zones 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 will have two preliminary pools.
The Sub-Zonal phase will run from December 2014 to March 2015, with the qualifiers proceeding to the zonal phase of the 2016 Summer Olympic Games qualification.
The winner of the CAVB Continental Cup will earn a direct ticket to The 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.
