The 2015 CAVB Calendar includes 11 volleyball events at age-group, senior and FIVB levels in addition to Olympic qualifiers for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympic Games. The beach volleyball calendar includes the different phases of the CAVB Continental Cup, which also act as Olympic qualifiers, as well as the first ever African qualifiers for the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships in the Netherlands.
Tunisia hosts the Boys Youth African Nations Championship from January 19 to 26, and afterwards Egypt will organise both the Men's U21 and Women's U20 African Nations Championships from February 24 to March 2.
In April and May, the Zonal qualifications for the 2015 All Africa Games will be organised to qualify 11 teams in both men and women’s competitions to join hosts Congo Brazzaville. Those qualification competitions will take place from April 15 to May 14 in the various continental zones.
The African Nations Championships will take place in May and June for the first time to fit in with the FIVB calendar, specifically the World Cups, which will take place in August and September. The Men's African Nations Championship is scheduled for May 15 to 25, while the Women’s Championship will take place from June 10 to 20 and both will act as qualifiers for the World Cup.
Tunisia and Egypt will represent Africa in the 2015 FIVB World League Intercontinental Round, which begins on June 12 and run to June 21, while the Final Round will take place from July 3 to 5.
The 2015 FIVB World Grand Prix Preliminary Round begins on June 26 and will run to July 5, with Algeria and Kenya will be the continent's representatives. The Final Round will be played from July 10 to 12.
The 2015 All Africa Games will be held in Congo Brazzaville from September 4 to 19 for 12 qualified teams in both the men’s and women’s categories.
For beach volleyball, 2015 will feature a busy calendar with around 40 national federations competing for an Olympic slot in Rio 2016 throughout four phases of the CAVB Continental Cup.
As per the FIVB’s decision to give each continent four slots in the 2015 Senior Beach Volleyball World Championship, the CAVB will organise continental qualifiers from February 14 to 22 to determine the African representatives.
