Blantyre,Malawi,14 June: The Football Association of Malawi(FAM) has resolved not to renew the contracts of national soccer team coach, Young Chimodzi and his assistant Jack Chamangwana.
The decision to fire the coaches was made at the emergency meeting held at the FA headquarters in Blantyre Sunday.
The decision came barely hours after the Flames 2-1 loss to Zimbabwe Warriors in Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) group L qualifier Saturday.

Following the latest development, the FA has appointed legendary midfielder Ernest Mtawali as caretaker coach to take charge of the reins in the interim.
