The program was implemented by the NORCECA Medical Commission under the presidency of Dr Victor Figueroa.
The most recent activity is taking place in Peru on the occasion of the second edition of the U23 Women’s Pan American Cup where a total of eight teams are competing – Argentina, Colombia and Peru from South America and Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico and Trinidad and Tobago from NORCECA.

During the competition, Dr. Medina has distributed brochures and other printed information related to the anti-doping policy of NORCECA, the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) and World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
“This is a program oriented mainly to the age-group categories whose players are taking their first steps into the international scene and need to be alerted about the damages to the health produced by these kinds of substances,” Dr. Medina said.
“It is a health prevention program whose objective is to have a sport free of dangerous drugs as well as healthy athletes by keeping them away from banned substances.”
