Kyle Beckerman (RSL), Nick Rimando (RSL), Michael Bradley (Toronto FC), Brad Davis (Houston Dynamo) and Graham Zusi (Sporting Kansas City) all made appearances for their club teams upon their return from the World Cup in Brazil and more will return to their respective lineups in Week 18. Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin will return to Seattle Sounders FC as they host their fierce Cascadia rivals, the Portland Timbers in a nationally televised contest (ESPN2, ESPN Deportes at 10:00 p.m. ET). The teams battled to a thrilling 4-4 draw at Providence Park in their previous matchup this season, with two late goals from Clint Dempsey that brought the teams level before the final whistle. The two teams will square off on Wednesday night as well in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup action. The San Jose Earthquakes will welcome the Eastern Conference leading D.C. United to Buck Shaw Stadium (NBCSN, 11:00 p.m.) as they welcome back forward Chris Wondolowski from his World Cup journey with the U.S. men’s national team. In a showdown out west, the LA Galaxy will host Real Salt Lake. The matchup will pin U.S. men’s national team teammates Omar Gonzalez, Kyle Beckerman and Nick Rimando against one another, this will be the team’s third and final match of the season. RSL holds the slight edge over the Galaxy, having beaten the Galaxy in the first match and drawing in the second match. By: Editor
