The team reported for camp last night in preparation for another clash against Les Aigles (The Eagles) of Mali. The match will be a curtain-raiser for the international clash between Bafana Bafana and Nigeria at the Mbombela Stadium.
Amajimbos had a training session in the morning in a wet Johannesburg before departing for Mbombela this afternoon.
“We played Mali in two matches at the African Championships and finished second to them in the final. We learnt a lot from them in those two matches and we wish to build on that experience as we start our preparations for the 2015 FIFA U/17 World Cup in Chile later this year,” said coach Molefi Ntseki.
“We have only managed to call up eleven players from the silver medalists team that played at the African Championships, this is because other academies are participating in the Future Champions tournament currently taking place at the Nike Football Centre. This in an opportunity for us to grow the squad and give other players a taste of international experience as part of the journey to Chile,” said Ntseki.
