LAS VEGAS (USA) - The seventh stop of the 2014 season will see the Red Bull Air Race take to the stage at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Constructed in 1996, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway offers its guests many unique and exciting racing experiences. At the centre of the 1,600-acre multi-track facility is the 1.5-mile tri-oval superspeedway which hosts the annual NASCAR weekend in the spring. With 18-20 degree banks, the track is a favourite among motorsports fans and is also popular with daredevil drag racers.
It’s been a year of ups and downs for Kirby Chambliss and the 54-year-old is keen to surpass his season-best finish so far: fourth place. Like the rest of the 12-man field, he’ll have his work cut out for him in Vegas. With only 5 World Championship points so far, Chambliss prepares for the seventh stop of the season at Las Vegas Speedway in the USA this weekend andhe has one overriding objective: win.
“It’s nice to be in your home country,” says Goulian, who makes his home in Maynard, Massachusetts. “We’re doing a full attack from the very start in Training to find out where the limit is, and then try to go for it every day. We’ve done a lot of preparation for this race because we want to do really well, so I’m very optimistic that we will have a good result.”
