Africa Sports have been crowned winners of the 50th edition of La Coupe Nationale (Ivorian version of the FA Cup), after a lone goal victory over CO Bouafle in Gagnoa last Friday (7 August 2015).
Diomandé Ibrahim Sory scored the only goal of the match eight minutes from time as the Abidjan-based club clinched their first major title since the Ivorian League title in 2011.
By the feat, ‘Les Aiglons’ will represent Cote d’Ivoire in next year’s CAF Confederation Cup. It will be the first time the capital based club will be participating in the continental club championship since crashing out at the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League in 2012.

In a related development, Union sportive des Forces armées (USFA) beat ASF Bobo Dioulass 3-0 last Wednesday (5 August 2015) in Ouagadougou to win the 2015 Coupe du Faso.
Second half strikes from Mickayoul Drame, Cyrille Kpan and Franck Guiaman was all the army side needed to claim the title.
