The current setup sees four of the 16 PSL teams demoted to the country's second tier, with another four coming up into the top flight, equating to a 25-percent change in structure and competition each year.
That has led to plenty of outcry from the Zimbabwean PSL, and ZIFA have now confirmed the proposed changes.
"Winners from the four regions will have to be involved in payoffs for them to be promoted into the top-flight league. This is what the ZIFA councillors resolved. The PSL are already aware of this."
