Kaloum, Guinea, July 8, 2015 - A VCP Refereeing Course was held in Kaloum from June 10-14. FIVB Instructor Mr Abdelmajid Kilani Djerad from Tunisia was in charge of the 28 participants.
The opening ceremony was chaired by Volleyball Federation of Guinea (FGVB) Second Vice-President Saliou Barry, who was joined by FGVB General Secretary Hady Guisse. Mr Barry thanked the Course Instructor for his contribution to the development of refereeing in Guinea and encouraged the course participants to be proactive and make the most of the opportunity.
Mr Djerad said how pleased he was to be making a second visit to Guinea and thanked the federation for their focus on refereeing. The FGBV have joined forces with the National Olympic Committee and Sports Ministry to set up a training programme which will see referees of different levels acquire new skills, which may also put them on the path to international refereeing careers.
