Sierra Leone’s 75–man contingent to the 11th All-Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo, departed the National Stadium on Thursday evening for a morning chartered flight to Brazzaville.
The Sierra Lone contingent consists of sportsmen and women in 12 sporting disciplines, as well as technical and administrative officials as the Games get underway 4–19 September 2015.

The Sierra Lone contingent consists of sportsmen and women in 12 sporting disciplines, as well as technical and administrative officials as the Games get underway 4–19 September 2015.
Having missed the previous three Games in Abuja, Nigeria; Algiers, Algeria and Maputo, Mozambique due to a huge debt, Sierra Leone is making a return to the competition with a history as this is the first time the country will participate in 12 sporting activities in the Games.
After several tussle backed with uncertainty over the country’s participation, the sports ministry was able pay some of these debt owned so that the country will participate in the games.
The 12 disciplines they will compete at the games are; Volleyball, Cycling, Athletics, Boxing, Taekwondo, Karate, Swimming, Paralympics, Wrestling, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis and Weightlifting.
