Sierra Leone’s 75–man contingent to the 11th All-Africa Games in Brazzaville, Congo, departed the National Stadium on Thursday evening for a morning chartered flight to Brazzaville.
The Sierra Lone contingent consists of sportsmen and women in 12 sporting disciplines, as well as technical and administrative officials as the Games get underway 4–19 September 2015.
After several tussle backed with uncertainty over the country’s participation, the sports ministry was able pay some of these debt owned so that the country will participate in the games.
The 12 disciplines they will compete at the games are; Volleyball, Cycling, Athletics, Boxing, Taekwondo, Karate, Swimming, Paralympics, Wrestling, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis and Weightlifting.
