Nemeth led Sporting KC to an unbeaten 3-0-2 record in May, contributing three goals and two assists throughout the month. He brought his goal total on the season to six, good for fourth-best in MLS. Thanks to his exceptional run of form, Nemeth earned a call up from the Hungary Men’s National Team for its upcoming exhibition match versus Lithuania on June 5 and UEFA Euro 2016 qualifier against Finland on June 13.
In last Friday’s 4-0 win against FC Dallas, Nemeth opened the scoring in the 19th minute by knocking home a close-range header off an acrobatic assist from defender Kevin Ellis, following it up with his go-to celebration—the lightning bolt.
Sporting Kansas City returns to MLS action this Saturday, when it takes on Seattle Sounders FC at 8:30 p.m. ET at Sporting Park (MLS LIVE).
