The striker who scored a brace on Saturday’s MLS tie against Philadelphia Union became the 16th player in MLS history to hit 20 goals in a season.
Another Sierra Leone striker who continued his scoring spree was Mohamed Poborsky Bangura who scored his eighth goal of the season to help AIK Solna secure a 2- 4 away win over Falkenberg. Another striker who was in action in the Swedish topflight league was Alhaji Kamara who replaced Bärkroth in the 77th minute of play in his side Norrköping 1-2 win over Kalmar.
In the Swedish first division defender Ishmael ‘Jorjor’ Koroma saw full time action for Nyköping in their 1-5 thrashing of Södertälje. Koroma’s compatriot, Tejan Bah was introduced in the 87th minute.
In Second division, Mohamed Bilili Bangura and Lamin Kargbo both featured for Härnösand as they defeated Bergnäsets 3-0. In Azerbaijan, Sheriff Suma and Samuel Barlay both saw full time action for Revan FC but they suffered a 1-3 to Neftçi, whilst in Belarus premier league, Umaru Bangura played full time in Dinamo Minsk goalless draw with Granit.
Sierra Leonean pair, Gibril Sankoh and Alfred Sankoh in the Dutch premier league also saw full time action in the Turkish first division league respectively whilst in Cyprus topflight league, striker Mustapha Haji Bangura played only 46 minutes for his Aris side which suffered a 3-0 defeat to Paphos.
