The elective congress of the Sierra Leone National Cycling Association (SLNCA), has for the second time in a year indefinitely postponed its national congress meeting through the advice of the newly appointed Director of Sports, Mr. Ibrahim Bangura.
According to information from the National Sports Council (NSC) Secretariat, the decision for the congress’ postponement came after Wednesday’s meeting between executive members of the SLNCA and the newly appointed Director.
This is not the first time the SLNCA congress has been postponed, earlier this year the same congress that was slated for Sunday January 25 was suspended indefinitely due to several reasons which was not only limited to the electoral issues that prompted the deferment.
The association president Winston D.C. Crowther earlier told journalists that the delay in conducting the nominations was the reason which lead to the postponement of the congress.
