Host Senegal have been crowned champions of the West Africa Football Union (WAFU) Zone `A' tournament after their neighbors arch rivals the Gambia were disqualified.
The final played on Saturday, 7 November 2015 at the Mawade Stadium in Saint-Louis was abandoned after Gambia refused to take part in extra time after 0-0 tie, rather insisting on penalties.
Showing no sign of reneging on their stand, the match official was compelled to declare Senegal winners, and disqualify Gambia.

Earlier, Liberia beat Guinea Bissau 1-0 in the third place match, but Liberia were declared runner-up and Guinea Bissau in that order, following the disqualification of Gambia.
The tournament was played in honour of Mawade Wade, former head coach of the Senegal national team and CAF Executive Committee member.
